month five.

He has been busy growing this month!  At his 4 mo checkup, his doctor said he was only in the 13th percentile (whatever that means!). I have no idea what he is at now, but I know that he weighs almost too much for me to tote him around in the car seat.  I have to take a deep breath and heave him into the Tahoe.
I just finished up an internship, so no more time with Heather, the gentle baby whisperer :(  She was a gal who had her own 8 mo old, watched another 6 mo old and was happy to take Colby.  I thought she was crazy until I went to pick him up on his first day.  I walked in and she had spa music playing. And the babies...in total zen mode.  It was amazing.  Colby was known as the player since the girls would crawl all over him and he seemed to love it! He will miss them.
He has become very mobile now. Exciting at first, sort of annoying now.  No longer can I just prop him up somewhere or just lay him down on the ottoman.  Nope. He squirms, wiggles and rolls around.  He worked on rolling over back to front for a week.  Now that he can do it, he insists on staying on his stomach.  I was an absolute wreck the first two, three nights he demanded to sleep on his stomach.  The first night, I put him on his back probably 10 times before I gave up.  The next night, I stood next to him sleeping with my hand on his back to ensure he was breathing and would not suffocate.  The third night, I woke up constantly but gave myself a pep talk that I was not going to get up and check on him and that he was fine...he was. His face might be squished into the mattress with his butt up in the air and on the other side of the crib facing an entirely different direction than I put him down in, but he wakes up happy!
Also, I started feeding you rice cereal.  You were not a fan at first but you got it.  You're messy.
